Routine Examination

A thorough check of teeth, gums, and soft tissues, including digital records and oral cancer screening.

A routine examination is the foundation of preventive dental care. At each visit we:

  • Review your medical history and any concerns.
  • Check every tooth and existing restoration.
  • Assess the gums for signs of disease.
  • Screen the soft tissues for any abnormalities.
  • Take digital records to track changes over time.

We recommend an examination every six to twelve months for most adults, and more often for children and patients with active disease.
